Hi Fil! How are you? Why was your 1987x modified? To get more distortion? It’s posible to get the distortion you get with it without being modified? Thanks man! You’re amazing!
hey fil glad to see your back I have found one 78 2204 jmp that I finally saved enough money for, I never have bought anything vintage before so I was wondering if you can check this amp out and see if its a good deal, also I was wondering it looks like it may have a third hole but I thought all 50 watts had 2 holes please help fil Im buying it from the guitar center website just type in VINT 1978 MARSHALL JMP 2204 50W HEAD at this site and it will pop up I really would really appreciate it fil
Scusami man on riesco a capire che tipo di sostanza è contenuta nella bomboletta che di tanto in tanto, utilizzi sulla tastiera.
Potresti cortesemente svelarmi tale arcano mistero?
Ciao,
M.
Of course I can Mr. M. Sorry if I reply in English, but I always want everyone to understand what I say. It’s simply “CRC” (that’s how we call it here in Italy), an anti corrosive/lubricant. It works great for string lubrification and it seems to keep my string life a little longer.
Not really Jim. I did too. In retrospect, I am liking the Marshall more. But this isn’t related to Metro or Marshall. It was the wrong amp to play AC/DC on, unless I’m doing Malcolm’s part or some earlier stuff (or more recent!). It won’t just drive like a JMP. The Marshall 1987 can instead.
Love the tone and fullness of sound from this one 🙂
comes over (on the p.c anyway) better than the Blackie.
Maybe someday you can get us all together for a live audience, now that would be something wouldn’t it!
I too prefer it here. Blackie is low on output. Pickup is really weak. And also, these 70/71s are great guitars.
Yes Rob, I’d love something like that, but it would be fun to play all together. A lot more fun 🙂

Posted at 01:19h, 30 SeptemberI think the first video, where you interpret Riff Raff, the tone is more like AC / DC to listen to you play over, that amazing Fill!!!
