Good stuff 06AngusSG, or may I call you Jon? Excellent . Nice and sooth.
What tuning are you in – looks like standard or open G maybe. I’ll go pick up a beer bottle and have a whack.
This is why I come back here 3 or 4 times a day, inspiration to try something new…Thanks

Whatever you want to call me is fine. πŸ™‚

I’m in standard tuning. Only playing thre D & G strings. The hard part is not letting all the rest be too noisy. πŸ˜‰

Thanx for the kind words!! πŸ™‚

Cool; I was thinking about going out and buying a slide today, I’ve been meaning to learn some ZZ top songs too. Cheers!

Renato try a coricidin medicine bottle, get them on eBay. Used by all the old blues men, e.g. Gary Rossington on Freebird

I tried to make one out of a Beer bottle neck but was unsuccessful. πŸ˜‰ So, I went and bought one.

BTW Renato: I deleted all the info off of this one (with Audacity) the same as Touch Too Much and NO FLAGGING again…. maybe that’s the secret to get around YouTube’s “detection”????

Interesting, Jon; I usually convert the backing tracks to wav first, so I assumed all the track info gets removed, but I need to double-check.

I remove it after I push the “export” button and the prompt window comes up with all of the song info in it. I delete all of the info and enter in my own name as the artist. πŸ˜‰

Great sliding here! =) Very groovy and very clean in terms of technique πŸ˜‰

Great playing and cool sliding, Jon!
Hehe, ultimate excuse for excessive drinking: “Darling, I just want to make a bottleneck for slide guitar playing but no success, so I need to get another bottle” πŸ˜€

            Haaaa….. Thank you both. πŸ™‚

This took WELL more than one try to get it this clean. πŸ˜‰ I’m to critical on myself.

I tried the “we need more beer” thing. Problem is: I married a smart one. She was way ahead of that one!!!!! :0

Hah, did not know that; has a cool factor to it πŸ™‚ Do you have one, Rob? I’ll probably need to try a couple to see what fits/sounds best.

I’ve got a steel one and a Coricidin medicine bottle. They make totally different sounds, I like both but perhaps prefer the glass. They also sound better or worse with different guitars.
