Fil!
Thank you for your story. We are poor now too, but I hope one day it’s going to change. I hope one day I can afford a real Gibson SG, and a JMP of course. Not the most important things of course, but I hope I could buy it some day.
First of all, I have to graduate here, it’s not easy at all, but then I will have a good salary, so I can afford a really good rig.
I have to wait at least 5 years to do it π
Or who knows, maybe with some luck it can be less…
Sorry, I can’t reply with hidemyass, but I must use it, to write a comment from here.

We would like to know about your first guitar and amplifier.
When you bought your first Gibson, which model was it.
Maybe the story of buying so many guitars that you had and have now, or something like that, but mainly the first electric guitar’s story π
We are so curious π
Denes,
my very first guitar that my mom got for me cheap – we were poor at the time – was an Ibanez copy of a Les Paul. It was “natural” in finish, and it weighted like a human being 13 years old (I was 10 or 11 at the time). The amp was a terrible “3M” amp, with clean and “fuzz” channel. The fuzz channel was really a fuzz over a clean sound. It was terrible to say the least. Those two accompanied me for at least 5 years of playing. Then, I got a Yamaha SG 2000, because it looked like an SG but we couldn’t afford a real SG. That guitar stayed with me until I was 18 years old, circa, and I sold it to pay a trip to Germany where my girlfriend was from, at the time. So I remained without a guitar for a year or so, then I purchased a horrible steinberg clone guitar, the “stick” shape, and that lasted me until I was 23. At 23, I bought my first, real SG (a reissue). So it went for a few more years. When we were wealthier, I started purchasing older guitars. And since then, I’ve been doing this as you see me do it now. There, the story of my life π
SUPER !!!!
It`s amazing how many people are interested in the sound of ACDC, How to play, and gear and so on……
The right idea at the right place to the right time (-:
Hehe, congrats π Thats pretty much in this time. There are not many sites growing up this fast, especially not the ones where you have to register first.
