From the sound of it, this is going to be the “tighter” concert DVD in years. I can’t recall Whole Lotta Rosie having been done so well and tight in… decades. Sound is in mono, to not let us rip it evidently (crowds have been put in stereo at the end, so the movie is in stereo). Great vocals indeed (finally!). Everything sounded well. Hopes are up high. If everything goes as it would seem we’ll have two memorable DVDs coming out this 2011.
That DVD will be great for sure !!! I can’t wait !!! Love the halfstep-down-tuning.
Ah Snook, do u have facebook? Otherwise add me: Jean-Luc Demurie π
For the collab: a live-solo from ‘The Jack’, that’s good? I love some bluesy live-licks he plays.
With a digital tuner, you can get a decent one on eBay for a ten or twenty euros. Tune one of the bass strings (for this song the A) by ear with the tuner clipped on and it will indicate the frequency. But you really don’t need to know you just need to hear it sync when tuning, the rest is just numbers. For your info standard tuning A is 440hz, see knowing that hasn’t made any difference at all has it, lol π
Also, the guitar toolkit app for iphone has a digital tuner (guitar rig 4 does too)
Franz – A in standard tuning is 440Hz. To go up to the next half-step (A#), multiply the 440Hz by 1.059; to go down (Ab), divide by 1.059 (1.059 is 2 to the power (1/12)).
To go up or down a quarter step, the multiplier is 1.029 (that’s 2 to the power (1/24)).
sorry for the late answer J.L.! π
The Jack is wonderful! we could do it π I’l take a look if a can manage to create a good backin track π lets see π

Posted at 18:36h, 17 MarchIs this really a half step down tuning?

Posted at 18:38h, 17 MarchI haven’t checked exactly how much, but it’s pretty low. If you want me to, I’ll give you the exact frequency to tune at π
