OPS! Sorry didn’t mentioned the fact that it is NOT me playing! Sorry should off wrote it down, i can’t take credit for the man who owns and plays this since it is not me in the first place π
Just linked to hear what people think of the tone and sound of the amp π
Yes it is 200 watt though i have heard from sources the amp doesn’t really make 200 watt more like rather 150 watt, i have no way to confirm this though in any way so i would say 200 watt untill proven other way around π
I would so much want a completely new amp being based sort of about my 2203 JMP but upgraded with an output of over 200 watt, for a bigger sound and being able to use pedals if i want, which you can’t do with these beasts.
Why? Because you will basicly blow up the transformers and tubes will melt and there will be an effect called ”The smoke on the water”-effect(Richie Blackmore used the Major amps in Deep Purple, they blew often and he had them repaired often and also modded to withstand his abuse and still he often didn’t crank them soooo high).
Here is John ”Dawk” Stillwell’s description on what the effect is like.
He did the modifications for Richie Blackmore, Manowar and many others, and interrestly he allways seems to write in CAPS for some reason whenever he writes something π

Posted at 08:26h, 14 FebruaryImagine a Major modded to withstand boosts when fully cranked with the Vega how it could sound like π

Posted at 17:34h, 14 FebruaryThat would be a very very interesting experiment !! Maybe a never heard before sound π Someday you can do that experiment.

Posted at 01:23h, 11 Februarythats a cool unique marshall head… I never seen one like it, it only has a few knobs compared to alot of other marshalls
OldSchoolRocker666
Posted at 08:17h, 14 FebruarySimilar to the Marshall Major but the Major has six knobs and some different details but i think they sound pretty similar π
