Dear members,
well, here we go. Forum is online. You can find it in the “Members content” menu. While it looks a bit different, it’s a full featured forum with everything a forum need. You can start your own discussions there, write your own articles and search for earlier posted stuff.ย Please tell me, if you need another category or file upload to publish your own mp3s, images or whatever.
We did a few more updates to the menu, and we’re planning an own “Beginners section”, dedicated to all beginners, hosted by our own Andre, JaiminhoPagina.
As usual, please tell us what you think, either in the comments or in the forum ๐
Thanks,
Your solodallas.com Team

Hello Ladies and Guys,
as Fil always said, this site is not only about him, but also about you, the members.
So, if anybody here wants to show off and discuss his/her gear and publish tone or video examples in an own article here at solodallas.com? Just mail me at banane@exception.at then.
Cheers,
Franz

Hello Guys,
Question: what do you think about a full searchable knowledge database page?
We already have many small pieces of information here and there in the comments that are hard to find. What is the tuning frequency for a “half step down tuning?” Which Amps did AC/DC use for “Powerage”? Such things. Wouldnt it be great to be able to write such information down somewhere where its easy to find 2 months later?
Please tell me in the comments if this is of interest for you.
Cheers,
Franz

Hello Guys,
this posting will inform you about technical and organizational changes here at solodallas.com.
As some users requested, it would be nice to see who of us is online here at the site now.
So now we have a nice new side bar plugin at the right top showing all members who are currently here.
Work for an advanced comment editor and our file space is currently under progress. I will keep you updated.
Have a nice day,
Franz

Posted at 01:03h, 21 JulyPlease, sorry for going off topic here, but can anyone help me?
I have a 2009 SG, and I just want to know which year of the 60`s SG has the most similar neck to mine`s.
I`m in doubt between a 63 and a 68 SG.
Thanks in advance.

Posted at 02:33h, 17 JulyHey Great Job! The site has has always been great but to put my 2 cents in my biggest issue is the searching as for insistence lets say I click on guitar or amp reviews… well there’s pages and pages to go through to find what you want and unless you know what to type in the search it’s hard to find, or even if you want to browse looking for nothing in particular. It would almost be nice if there was a page list with just the names of the article and you could go down a list and click on it go to go the page and that way you could see every article name on one page and just click on the link. Not sure if that’s possible to do but just an idea anyways ๐

Posted at 20:48h, 16 JulyThanks Ant! Yes, problem is: the fancy picture we had didn’t fit the background color, so we removed it. But maybe we’ll put in a new one later ๐

Posted at 19:28h, 31 MayMaybe something that you can find everything you have personally ever commented on? Because i am currently searching through post to try and find something ive commented on and just cannot find it
banane
Posted at 08:13h, 01 JuneI put indeed some work in comment searching, but problem is that searching through all comments will take a long time and will put lots of load on the server/database. On the test system, A search for “Master Volume” or “Cetec Vega” lists all posts and comments containing these words, but takes about a minute. ( Yes, we have a test system for the site ๐ ) I’m still trying to improve this, but if it’s not fast enough for mass usage, it won’t fit here. And searching only through own comments would take even more time because its one more search criteria to filter out when walking through the database.
