21 Jun Summer Goodies – Angus’ & Malcolm’s Own Guitars To Mr. Fairbairn (Played On “The Razor’s Edge”)
Our Own Friend (yes he is, and we’re also working together now) Mr. Billy Rowe, owner of www.rocknrollrelics.net (one of the greatest makers of guitars right now – some are owned by some real rockers) had sent me these images of his buddy Mr. Mitch Merrett ( www.mitchmerrett.com , https://www.facebook.com/robert.merrett1 ) while holding the following.
These very guitars are now sitting in Mr. Fairbairn studio in Canada.
Yes. These were Malcolm’s and Angus’ guitars – some of them – used – among other instances – to record “The Razor’s Edge”.
Posted with kind permission of both Billy Rowe & Mitch Merrett,
Enjoy,
Fil!

Posted at 23:00h, 07 JulyIt probably is one that he keeps on the road just to have in case. When I saw him in Wilkes-barre I saw the black one (64 refin?) I saw the lightning bolt that you always see him with and I saw that custom idk if its walnut brown or black but it looks like the one you see in the let there be rock video and cover of blow up your video. Which I believe were his #2 #3 and #4 since his number 1 doesn’t go out on the road.

Posted at 05:33h, 10 JulyYeah – that could be it. He has a #1 for the road, which isn’t the same as his studio #1. Agreed.

Posted at 19:59h, 21 JuneWow that’s cool. I would love to see Fil playing one of these guitars. Imagine how it would feel like to play the same guitar as Angus and Malcolm once used.

Posted at 00:09h, 23 JuneMaybe you’d feel giddy like Scott Ian did when he got the chance to play Angus’ live rig.

Posted at 00:28h, 03 JulyIt does look like a signature model. However, I assumed it’s either #2 or #3, which he had the lightening bolt inlays added to. I recall seeing a guitar that looked like that in his rack of spares under the stage during the Black Ice tour.
