Thanks Ant! Yes, I do feel a electric current pass to me when I barely touch the strings or the vibrola! It happens to ALL my guitars, no exceptions, and I suppose it is not from my guitars… I’v had a couple brand new guitars plugged in and occurs the same! The electric plug I use for the amp has no ground! That might be the problem! And also, there is a lot of interference coming from phone antennas and the hole neighborhood wire-less things… There’s a studio on the city next to mine, were I use to spend some weekends there, the interference doesn’t happen and since they have grounded plugs, it also reduce to neutralize the electric shock thing! Thanks for noticing and sorry for my bad english! 🙂
no worries 😉 i used to get it all the time through my setup
one day is was playing loud and the fleshy bit under my elbow just slightly touched my Les paul bridge and it gave me one hell of a zap and i was like “ouch” lol so i did some research into it and it was my grounding, i alos found that the power adaptor on my laptop was casuing excess noise
Get a plug (or have an amp tech for you do it) that has a ground, so that your chassis is grounded to earth. Much better to have 400VDC+ go to the earth than through you body…. 🙂
I like it too haha, not everybody know Focus! What a cool band!
And yea, no one wants 400V running trought them!
I looking forward to have a grounded plug here! I’ll post some covers as soon as everything got fixed (or tried to) !
Thanks
Really awesome man! You totally nailed early AC/DC cleanish tone. It’s even too clean for me sometimes (especially for newer songs). Anyways, congrats on your new acquisition and I hope to see some covers from you soon, because you’ve got some pretty nice guitar skills there :).

Posted at 13:53h, 25 FebruaryGreat Tone very clean but can hear that ACDC Crunch.
noticed though your guitar or part of your setup is not grounded, i can hear noise when you let go of your guitar this can affect your tone!
one thing to check, do you feel a electric current pass to you when you touch any metal part of the guitar with one finger?

Posted at 22:19h, 26 FebruarySounds great. Is that a year 1985 model 2204 amp? If so, was is recovered to look like an older JMP, or is it a reissue?
Thanks, and yes, need more examples on youtube!

Posted at 05:48h, 27 FebruaryYes, it is a very unique looking JCM 800 from 1985! It was really a nice find! And thanks, I’m happy you liked!
