Thanks π
Yeah I screwed up a lot, i had to cut the last part of the video when i failed big time (only had one take), but I’m glad you liked it π Hope you’re not mad about me using your backing track…
I noticed when i used to play it before filming it that i constantly stole some of your licks so I tried to keep from ripping of atleast some your ideas π Guess you’re quite an influence π

Thanks π Ordered a Shure SM57 and an Alesis IO2 audio interface yesterday that i’m expecting to arrive sometime next week, i’m sure i will se great improvement in sound quality by then π
I’m using a Gibson SG 61′ Reissue plugged into a Jet City 2112RC amp which is recorded by a very cheap quality karaoke mic π This microphone is simply plugged into my laptops line-in port so it’s not exactly an ideal recording setup π
To record the sound from the mic, i’m using Audacity with the backing track imported so it plays back when i start recording. Not very good at this PC audio thing so no enhancements or anything have been done to the sound except for volume increase. π
(The cable you see is just from my headphones so i can hear the backing track)
I see; well the sound was alright despite the karaoke mic π with the better audio I/O and mic I’m sure it will get better. I thought you were using something like Guitar Rig so I was confused π

Reminds me of… me? π
Only suggestion I can give: timing. Listen more to the drums and to the rhythm geetars! π

Posted at 19:03h, 23 FebruaryWhat amp (or software) are you using? I noticed the earphone cable, I assumed you were recording digital directly from a modeling software.
Cheers

Posted at 20:37h, 23 FebruaryYeah well, let’s just say there was some experimenting with pillows for dampening and such when recording π
Glad you liked it π
