Renato @ Florida; I bought and started learning to play guitar about two years ago, a bit late in life (I am 39). Still a beginner, but motivated and inspired by Fil and other 'bedroom rockers'.
I've been posting a few videos here and sound bites on soundcloud, as sort of a logbook with snippets of how my playing (hopefully) evolves, and it may help inspire others who love music to take an instrument, practice, play, and have fun.
To contact me by email, my gmail.com username is the same as my username here.

Posted at 18:18h, 28 JuneYeah its a great place π I should also record a new video, but I’m still fighting with the Highway to Hell solo and also with You shook me, and this are the ones I would like to record. Hopefully I will get it this year, hehe π

Posted at 18:35h, 29 JuneYes, you should – if you play loud enough you may even capture on tape the police breaking in after your neighbors call them π

Posted at 18:38h, 29 JuneThat would be funny, having them also on video then, shaking their heads and playing air guitar in their uniforms π

Posted at 21:07h, 27 JuneNice job again Renato, you’re knocking these video’s out quickly. Good to see.
Macko’ right tho, E after the solo π

Posted at 21:34h, 27 JuneThanks, Rob! yeah, we got a new mac and it made things easier/faster for editing.
I’ll work on the more accurate version next π
Cheers!

Posted at 21:59h, 27 JuneAre you using IMovie on the mac? I found it frustrating as hell but slowly getting used to it.

Posted at 22:19h, 27 JuneYeah, my “bench” is now GR4, iMovie, audacity for mixing, and a camcorder.
I’m still getting the hang of iMovie but at least now I manage the basics of pasting and aligning sound and video efficiently – this used to be the major time sink for me.
I also improved how I get multiple takes without pausing – most of the time takes me dozens before I get an alright take for the solo, I’m still far from target when it comes to consistency π

Posted at 19:54h, 27 JuneI suppose you’re right, thanks! I’ll try that. Btw when you play this song, how do you tune your guitar? I tuned a bit over a quarter step up but I’m still not 100% sure. Cheers!

Posted at 19:50h, 27 JuneThanks, mate! I used guitar rig 4; I’ve been using a preset called let there be lead, I posted on this site’s filespace (both rhythm and solo, the only difference was the bridge pickup volume knob). Cheers!

Posted at 14:28h, 27 JuneI got to get my kicks some way π Been practicing this one for a while, saw the acoustic version posted here last week and decided to give it a try. Playing an Epi SG-400, with GR4.
