First 25 Schaffer Replica GT

22 Dec First 25 Schaffer Replica Gold Tag units built!

Vienna, 21st December 2013. The first 25 units of the Schaffer Replica Gold Tag are built.

Dear Members,

Right before Christmas, the shop (the people there, including our tech Markus, worked really hard to get this done!) sent me this photo. The first 25 units of the Gold Tag version of our Schaffer Replica are built, tested and ready for pickup:

first25gtready_0

Vienna, 21st December 2013. The first 25 units of the Schaffer Replica Gold Tag are built.

Very exciting sight. And reminds me and Fil a lot of the old photo of Ken Schaffer in his shop with the original SVDS units on his bench.

Now, who will get these?

We will try to deliver unit number #001 to Angus himself. Not sure if it will make it into his hands, but we will seriously try it. Four or five of the units will go to Fil, who is currently in the USA and will stay there for presenting these units at the NAMM exhibition at end of January 2014. If you can, go and meet him there, shake hands, chat and play with him. He’s a really nice guy, and it’s always a pleasure to meet him 🙂

Well, and the rest of the units will go to the first 19 or 20 people who ordered the Gold Tag. We put a list of member names at the end of this post.

If you are on this list AND already did the prepayment: be happy and wait for an email from me, Banane/Franz. I will send you an email with detailed photos of your unit and final order instructions. These units will be picked up from the shop right after Christmas, at the 27th December, they will get a final sound test and then go out for delivery after we got the final rate of the payment.

If you are not on this list: don’t worry, we are just being fair to the people who ordered first, so we deliver strictly in first come, first serve order. Everybody will get his Gold Tag unit as soon as possible. We are working very hard on it. Again, everybody will get an email from me when the ordered Gold Tag unit is ready for delivery.

This are the first 21 members who ordered a Gold Tag unit. Please note that we CAN NOT allow any special number requests.

Hey all, just received my Gibson SG 1961 Reissue Custom Shop VOS, and i must say – WOW! Silky smooth neck and action, looks amazing and the pickups are amazing. BITE BITE! A warning : Just watch out for eBay and its new expanding Global Shipping program. Its the biggest rip off and retarted situation you will ever see. I brought the guitar from the California coast, right next to the airport, thus, as per usual from buying from that coast, it would be sent straight out from the los angelas airport to Auckland new Zealand and i will have the item in about 3-5 days. Ok, now comes the global shipping program: That stupid system picks up the item, sends it to the other side of the USA, i.e. almost to new york where their depot is, and then back to the California coast, then on to me in New Zealand. It went onboard 20+ vehicles before it left the USA. hahaha, retarted or what?? No matter where your item comes from or is going too, it must pass through their silly shipping depot where they open the item then repack it with there own cheap packing and send it on to you. You can opt out of the shipping program on occasion. So its just a warning to you all on eBay. Im just happy it arrived in good condition, but it took 14 days, instead of 3-5 days and was no cheaper freight cost. go figure!

Well, definitely not the best route to deliever a guitar. But could you please back up a bit with your phrasing? Thanks 🙂

          retarted or what??

How are you going to deliver the first one to Angus? It would be awesome if you could get a video interview scheduled to present him with it in person so we could all get to see his reaction.

Hey mate, it is well-known fact that the Youngs like their privacy and we (I think I can speak for majority here) at SoloDallas.com respect that.

So, no video interview because it would invade their privacy. However, I bet if Fil & Franz ever get any response from Angus, they will post it here for our community to see.

And they will most probably deliver it in the old-fashioned way – via postal or courier delivery services.

Yes, right. We respect their privacy, so we won’t ring at his doorbell and surprise him with looking into a video camera. No, we will just send it while trying to make it as sure as possible that Angus will get it.
Will also leave him time for trying it out and give a honest feedback, if he wants to.

I of course dont mean just show up at his door with a camera. That would be rude for anyone; a music star notwithstanding. I meant going through the official channels like any other company would do to get a video interview. You’d be doing it on his time and probably on your dime too :P. This project has been kind of a big deal. No harm in tryin.

So, I have to post now after I’ve read all of it, and I gotta say, I’m pretty pissed about the behavior some users are showing off here 😆 .
So I’m doing this, especially for banane, and I hope you all fellow SD members don’t mind: Give banane some time to do all this, in other words, get off his back … He has been working for nearly two damn months on this project, really really hard. He’s working on it alone for almost 2 weeks now, and we have to consider that he’s got a family too, a job and the same hobby as we have, which takes time and practice too. We should be happy that he keeps working on it, because otherwise we would be waiting at least two more months for the GT, and the pedal owners could wait 3-4 months…
Plus, last year, last November precisely Fil and Franz made their decision: a GT with signed plate, big box etc and a ” simple ” pedal with literally nothing on it ! And now wanting the pedal to be almost as deluxe as the GT ? The stomp box should be as simple as possible for people who don’t care about the design etc, so it is.
So I beg all of you ( I know that our fellow members following Fil for over 5 years now already do, we have grown into a RNRoll family 🙂 ) give banane and Fil some time, even if we ( the first 22 ) have to wait another 1-2 weeks for our GT, there’s no harm in waiting. We’ve been waiting to achieve this tone since we all listened to AC/DC, many many years for some of ours, so I don’t think that a few weeks/months will kill us.
This being said, I want to make sure that I didn’t want to offend anyone, I just needed to do this because I know that Franz has a hell of a lot to do right now, and it’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, where you should spent time with your beloved.

Anyways, hope nobody minds this post. Wishing you all SD members a great great rocking NYE, and let there be rock ! 🙂

I agree with Ant. I think there may be some levels of miscommunication – I haven’t seen much unhappiness from other users, but others may view things differently.

Either way, I hope everyone had a great New Years, and I’m looking forward to starting 2014 off right with TSR! 😀

yeah i second that aswell. The world has to educate kids “and adults into proper understanding of how forums work, and why not? because people grow up with the net and get online as a normal thing now, yet i would say 90% of all people on the net misinterpret everything that is said on the net, thus, trolls and nasty people infest everywhere now. This place here is a good place for tone gods who want to try to gain something special in their tone. Its not a place to destroy that concept, to make one feel the whole process of buying this or that pedal was horrid, thus, now playing through it will be infested with that energy aswell. Really, it happens! The whole experience must be a good experience and that includes the wait for the pedals. While we wait we all share rig pictures, rig info, music tastes and ideas. If we don’t, we will end up simple minded guitar junkies only playing in our closet “yet again”, and that gets old pretty quick! The saying: LIVE TO PLAY LIVE”! And also: Get together with friends and play in the garage, and sound like absolute shit, then get together again and still sound like shit, then others will gather and hear this sound of really shitty playing, then it will become a band and you will still play like shit together, yet everyone around you will become fans and love what they hear, as to them, it now sounds incredible! This is how it happens! ROCK ON and DON’T HIDE!

It’s getting a bit on my wick too.
Hi to the oldies and newies (how many in the SoloDallas army now Franz ?). Frank back after a long, long while, I’ve kept my self abreast with the forum and the TSR project ( jumped up and ordered a stomp as soon as Banane’s mail came through) been keeping quiet though watching how the forum evolved, reading all the posts but no posting of my own.

There seems to me a bit more me, my, mine and a lot less us & ours these days. We had a little bought of it about 6 months ago but that fizzled out.Today, the hydra’s back with another head.

Come on people, I remember Fil posting photos of Luna back in 2010, made you feel family (ok a family that has only one conversation topic but still….) that’s why I signed up, Fil made me want to play (didn’t before) he was (is) that intense, and look at me now. 3 years later, one poor video attempt (link’s dead Franz you can chuck it out) and I’m playing in a band, a 2 hour set, a gig a month roughly, I can set up a live sound event, hold my beer glass and not pee on my shoes at the same time, and am living it… Thanks to this place…and as Jdscreamer points out, the point is playing, better if with and for other people, that’s the only way you can get the same grin on your face as Fil’s at the end of a song. The little flash in the eye across the room from the bass player, the knowing nod from the drummer, and the sweat soaked undergarment that flew into your face from the fan (second row, two from the right of the bouncer with the red cap).

I understand GAS, have it my self, I get the collector thing and I know thete are people with the “I’ve paid, so I want deal”… but this thing is different. It’s been part of Fil and his life for years and years, turning from desire into idea, to concept into reality. It must have put, and still probably does, put a huge amount of weight on his shoulders, his wife, his kids, friends. The time these two have put into the project is outstanding, you can see the sweat on Fils brows everytime he staps on a guitar, and this is the same sweat and energy that has been put into thE TSR.
For the newcomers I can see how this could escape you, but for me this sound has been slowly growing in our hands for seasons, spring, summer, autumn, winter… slowly growing to be study enough to bear fruit. Fil and Franz have finally the produce in their hands and are willing to share it with the rocking world.
280 $ for the stomp?? That’s about 8$ a month since this place started up. More than worth it I’d say.

Basicaly, I couldn’t be arsed if the thing was bright pink, with nothing written on it, sent in a brown paper bag, just as long as when switch the standby on, something that has been hiding in the darkest corner of the room starts to growl….

Sorry guys all the pedals are now delayed while they all get repainted in bright pink without any writing on them, the way it’s ment to be. The tone has been adjusted to suit more pop tones aswell, so should fit a wider range from the gay community. We rely on mass market sales and must submit to the wants and needs of spangly twangy tones played through very high quality solid state amps. Get ready for the ultimate tone machine the svd genital stimulating buzz machine. Hahaha Tones from bands like ACPC and Marilyn monsoon. Lol

Well, did you guys also consider that adding a permanent serial number to the case would cost some money and time? I mean, I guess you didnt meant a simple sticker with a number, right? 🙂

And still: a pedal case lid with an engraved serial number could be easily changed for an unengraved lid.

Maybe getting your gear insured is the better protection here 🙂

Yes. The more I think about a serial number for the pedal, the less sense does it make to me. Individual printing is too expensive, engraving as well, so the only remaining thing that comes to my mind is stamping a number into the case lid. But how much more unique does it make your pedal?

we will enjoy the pedal anyways 🙂 but there are also some reasons which make sense.
if you lose or forget it somewhere you can write in a forum the serial number is missing. same if it gets stolen. at least if the s.nr. got removed you will know that there is something wrong as on guitars.
then, the low s.numbers will be one day desireble (which is also kinda adverstmant for the product).
anyways it would be nice if the is even a simple stamp and most of us would be happy about that.

here suggestion. almost all “boutique” pedal manufacturers have a handwriten serial number and date with edding marker on the inner site of the case. cost nothing and is in 3 sec done. a small sticker cost maybe some cents and some seconds to print a whole bunch at once. its still better than nothing 🙂

No, I think there wont be serial numbers in the pedals. It wasnt planned, neither time-wise nor production-wise nor cost-wise. And it would stress the shop even more.

yes but everything is produced has a serial number. no matter if boutique gear or not. guitars, amps, pedals, from dunlop over analogman to gibson etc. it would be really cool and for collectors important to have one of the first pedals with low serial number.

If I remember correctly, none of my pedals has a serial number. And a small sticker at the back doesnt really count, right? 🙂
Anyway, I will ask the shop if they know a decent solution. But I don’t want to hear any complaints about delayed delieveries then, please.

A pure blank product clear of all of the above for me please, no delays, life’s too dam short to sit there staring at our pedals. It’s time to rock n roll guys, really. Let there be rock!

If someone wants a signature on their pedal, all good, but not the rest as we just wanna rock and make some YouTube videos with the pedals, get them to the post shop please! Xxx

jdscreamer i respect that you dont want a s.nr but you also should respect the ones who would like for some reasons to have one. at least you can remove it on your pedal 😀 and we will wait at least 1-2 months till first pedals get shipped (mid of februar) so a few days more or less are not the world. also to make pressure to the guys to produce faster and faster makes also no sense. you will get your pedal dont worry 😀

yeah same here, cant wait to add the pedal to the other gear ive just forked out lots of cash for. I just got an interim cabinet for my YJM100 head. A got a Marshall 1936 vintage version. This creates my more portable rig, but i am in the process of getting 4 x G12-65 speakers. Then ill place them into a 4×12 cabinet, and the rig will then be complete, as darth vader rock star would say. lol I couldnt afford the bigger cabinet right now, thus, ill be building that at a later date, or when the GAS gets too bad! lol I was playing the 1936 vintage cab with the YJM just now and it seriously has some nice tones in it, and it sounds like a 4×12 cabinet, quite amazing (i haven’t owned one before). I just got an OKKO Diablo overdrive aswell, as i wanted to try one for ages as seen on gregs guitars on youtube, and yeah, its nice, doesnt compare to the pure tone of The JD Screamer Overdrive, but its still nice. Come on Gold Tag, time for ACDC though. p.s. just watched the entire river plate concert last night on the big screen with the 5.1 turned all the way up, holy shit that was a good concert. everyone seen it?

Yes, saw the River Plate concert, also on 5.1. Great recording, just like you are in the stadium 🙂 Saw them also 2 times live at this tour. The 2nd time was on an airport field in Austria. Shitty weather, but still over 90.000 people there. The airport field was outside of twn and everybody had to walk to the field. Tv news had a helicopter flying over the field, looked like a horde of pilgrims on their walk 🙂

Yeah, if there is one problem with 4x12s, its their transport. 2×12 is much easier to haul. But your YJM will sound awesome with G12-65s, no matter if 2×12 or 4×12.

I’ve only been to one actual ACDC concert. It was back in 1991 in Auckland New Zealand. The Razors Edge Tour! Thing was, they sounded just like as if you put on a studio CD, they were so precise and perfectly in time, and simply amazing. Similar to the Metalica Concert at the same place in Auckland, they were so good in concert. I like that. Some bands are friggin terrible in concert. I went to Joe Satriani and Steve Vai a couple months ago, and that also was amazing. Concerts in total are: ACDC, Metalica, Jos Satriani, Steve Vai, Crowded House, George thorogood, split ends, U2 (amazing tone in concert aswell), midnight oil, jimmy barnes, pink floyd, deep purple. And I help record stevie ray vaughn personally in Auckanld New Zealand for the great roads trip music video when he was here in New Zealand back in the late 80s. Stevie actually met his wife, a New Zealand chick on that music video. theres a bit of info for ya. 🙂 I used to own a 1964 vibroverb amp aswell, i still cry for selling that. The perfect stevie ray tone, (along with a 200watt Marshall Major ofcourse)

I’m not often on concerts. Fnny enough, the U2 concert in Vienna had an awful sound. Bad adjusted PA produced echoes from the rear of the stadium made the tone totally muddy. And damn, I didnt made it to a concert of the Razors Edge tour. Totally regretting that.

I also think (though I don’t know it for sure), we will get the pedals in batches from the shop, for example 20 each week or so. Then I would notify 20 people by end of week that their pedal is ready for delievery.
Also, I have to think about how I send over 200 packages all over the world. Maybe I will group the pedals by country. Dont know yet 🙂

hey guys and girls, if there are girls here, im not sure, one hopes so, lol, anyhow, i am looking at a set of Celestion Heritage G12-65 15ohm speakers. Now a question. They are 15ohm, not 16ohm. how does that work in regards to the 16ohm outputs on the amp head? 15ohm seemed weird to me?? Is the new version Heritage G12-65 good value, quality? a good buy?

Haven’t use those speakers but the 15ohms makes no difference there so close to 16ohm you use the same settings and what not as some older speakers were 15 as well.

        Posted at 06:57h, 28 December

yeah thanks for that info. i suspect that being 15ohms and yet they plug into 16ohms amp oputput, thats actually part of the fact that they have a bigger punch and rated higher than other green back speakers at 16ohms. Most likely the only real difference is the 15ohm aspect giving a bigger output load slightly, without hurting the amp tranny, as the ohms is so close to 16. Anyhow, im looking for an empty cabinet as i can get 4 brand new 15 ohm 65s. Then ill be getting so dam close to Angus perfect tone, or something like that anyhow. Check list: I’ve Got Gibson Custom SG 61 VOS with Custom T-top bride pickup, YJM100 Head, Gold TAG Schaffer on its way shortly, and ME – a guitar player. :-p lol

It has more gain than a JVM when you use the booster thats built in, so yeah and hell of a lot, yet without the booster on, you have a simple old school marshall 1959 exactly as it was back in the day, the tone is exactly the same as a vintage marshall. They done a good job with this amp, best modern marshall i reckon, along side joe satch jvm.

I don’t have any specific information for you, but if we look at what we know, we can make an fairly close educated guess:

          1) they’ve built the first 25 or so units and those haven’t been shipped. However shipment should start tomorrow, and I would suspect more builds starting in the new year, if not before.

          2) you’re #079, meaning approximately 54 other SD.com users who preordered the day or week the GT was announced are ahead of you waiting very, very patiently. We are all excited and want that tone yesterday (or more than two years ago when we watched Fil discover the SVDS!) but now is not the time to lose sight of what will be one of best, and rare, products available.

          3) based on this, I would say your GT will be built mid January and shipped shortly thereafter.

          4) be patient. 🙂

Oh yeah i realise these things, but they were old news, I was just following directions based on multiple emails before sending my preorder payment, that if I order now, I.e two weeks ago that wAs, then my number 79 would absolutely be sent before end of december, nothing to do with certification hold ups etc. but I’m not complaining, just following directions as per emails. Well, sometimes we have to rely on things other companies/shops tell us. And then things happen that you can’t foresee.
For example, re-routing all VU meter cutouts took the assembly shop roughly a day. And in one day they could have assembled maybe another 10 or 20 Gold Tags.
Such things are always a problem for first time productions.

Yes, that’s all true. The VU meter problem took us about 9(!) weeks to solve. According to the original project plan I made, it should be November now, with having the first few 25 Gold Tags made.
Plan was to avoid the (in Austria) usual Christmas holiday breaks.
But then there was the VU meter problem, plus waiting for the CE/ROHS certification and several other stuff, so we didnt make it at the end with our goal of having all units sent out at mid december.
            We’re really sorry for that.

V30’s are great speakers, but in my opinion not the best for an old school rock n roll sound, they might be a slight touch too modern. These kind of speakers match amps like JCM 800’s and JVM’s perfectly, whilst a JMP or JTM ” should ” be set on 65’s or G12M’s. But you might like it, you have to try what fits you better.

Hey i want to reopen a discusion on my YJM100 head and using 2 1936 cabinets with it, for ease of moving it. It was stated about correct ohm loads in that configuration? On the back of the YJM100 the output sockets are: 1 x 16OHM, 1x8OHM, 2x16OHM, 2x8OHM, 1x4OHM. It has a vast output allowance, same as a JVM and others i guess. So im not sure why there would be output tranny strain or issues if the 1936 cab has an 8 OHM input. thus running 2 x 1936 2×12 cabs in the YJM100 should be a normal safe confug. anyone with more ideas on this. seems normal to me, yet i got warned on doing this for some reason? they are simply 2 8 oHM cabs are they not?

Connect your two 8 ohm 1936 cabs to the far left vertical sockets marked “1 x 4 ohm / 2 x 8 ohm”.

yeah it seemed logical and quite normal, i.e. plug in as marked! yet some people seemed to be confused by this. But, 2 x 8ohm may change the tone a lot maybe, and be too tight rather than running pure 16ohms?? “yet”, in saying that, running two 8ohm, wouldn’t that be like running one actual 16ohm cabinet, i.e. wouldn’t it be a pure 16ohms running 2 x 8 ohms. “OR” would it be classed as two x 8ohms, i.e. two 8ohm tones next to each other? Its easy to see where people could get confused here. 2 x 8 = 16ohm. Or is it 2 x 8 = 2 x 8ohm individual 8ohm tones?

As far as the amplifier is concerned, it sees two 8 ohm cabs because that’s how you have it plugged in. It would be classified as two 8 ohm cabs.

8 or 16, you won’t be able to tell the difference my friend.

tsr gt is nr.80 and tsr pedal is nr.130.

many guitars, many amps and tons of pedals.. my two favorite amps are a 50 Watt marshall 1987X-PW / 1986X SuperLead and SuperBass combo loaded with two G12-C (england made). channel one is a 1987X superlead and channel two is a 1986X superbass. so in fact two amps in one. i love it because when jusmping both channels you get the best of both worlds 1987 and 1986. my sec fav amp is an evil robot 214 (magnatone tonemaster clone). and for bedroom levels i´m using three 1 watt marshalls. the jtm1, jmp1 and jcm1.
my four main guitars are a 1993 R7, a 1994 R9, a 2011 SG 24 50th ann. and a black hofner T6S semiacoustic (no f-holes + 1,25″ deep body = rock machine). i use to swap regularly picups on them (tom holmes, sd joe b, cream t banger series, tim shaws, ox4, t-tops etc).
i think it´s gonna be a fun through the tsr 😉

Nice setup. I’m making my setup simple “ish” with my primary amp head being the YJM100. Nice having an old school plexi with the added effects loop, 50watt mode and attenuator that actually works, i.e. doesnt change the tone of the amp one iota, very nice. All front knobs at 10 and yet output at 0.1 watt, now that’s nice! And also having a fully analog noise gate built in which im using a lot now as its silent and you don’t even know its on. The built in malmsteem DOD boost is growing on me, but ill see when my Custom SG arrives, im sure those pickups will sound sweet with that boost aswell. Roll on gold tag though, i want mine!!!! But boy, when this amp is let loose, the thing is so friggin LOUD! lol I also use a John Mayer USA custom Cypress strat into this rig with a univibe and thomas organ wah etc etc etc.

oh yes the sg cs through the yjm will be killer…and if you add the tsr you´ll get huge tone for days! what kind of attenuator you use? i´m still looking for a good one because till now i´m not happy with attenuators.. the ones i had changed the tone in a bad way.

Hello, I have followed your post. I play the following Eqiupment.
SG 61 Reissue from 1990. Amplifiers Marshall JTM 45 Reissue 1989 30 watts. Cabinet Marshall 1960AX. I have constantly tried to find the right sound (Holy Grail). I changed the tubes, old and new Mullard NOS and JJ used. Fantastic Sound! It is important that the humbucker / pickup are set correctly, the pole pieces so that an even, consistent sound remains. The Marshall Power Brake PB100 I removed because it makes the sound broken. I bought the silencers from Tube Amp Doctor and ….. just awesome …. I am happy and have almost the Holy Grail. I am of the opinion: Less is more!

hi and thanks for the info. i had a couple of attenuators but all of them were “resistor based” models and they change the tone. now i discovered that there are some weber models which are “speaker motor based” models. they suposed to dont affect the tone that much. do you know if the tube amp doctor silencer is a resistor or a speaker motor based attenuator or maybe a different technology?

Weber are good, but aracom are better. Go to a website called “destroyallguitars.com and you will find the most amazing custom guitars and amps you could find anywhere on the net, really! But also, they are suppliers of the aracom attenuator, the best attenuator on the market other than using what the Marshall YJM100 or AFD has built into them. Or go directly to aracom website: http://www.aracom-amps.com/products/prx150.html

sounds really good as i´m looking for a new technology. all attenuators are resistor based, so they just turn energy in to heat, and they totally kill the tone. the arecom is different as i understoot or?

the aracom is old school attenuator still but with a lot of research and patents i think on new ways to go about stopping the back flow of energy that kills the tone and squashes it so much. Its is as close as you will get to having a free flow of sound flowing through the unit to the speaker yet being able to bring down the volume level. There are a whole lot of demos on the unit on destroyallguitars.com, and they are great demos.

i saw some review videos and it sounds great. i think the ideal attenuator would be something like a combination of the weber speaker motor technology including the patents of aracom 😀

yeah, ive owned a hotplate and a marshall powerbrake and both wrecked the tone after a small turn on the dial. yet this built in one on the YJM100 is simply amazing, never does it squash the tone all the way to 0.1 watt, like headphone levels, and still sounds the same. Malmsteem was smart when he asked for just the right combo of mods and goods to add to the back of this plexi, and still keep the front old school and stock.

Great choice mate, you’ll love it. PLEK’d guitars are super buttery!

Have Mick at Manlius Pickups build you a T-Top bridge replica. You can have somebody swap the pickup and cover so you retain the VOS look (or do it yourself if you’re handy with a soldering iron) and you’ll love it.

Leave the neck pickup, it sounds great as it is!

oh hey, what do you think of having a Marshall 1936 2 x 12 cabinet on top of a Marshall 1936V 2 x 12 vintage 30 version, as a small stack?? Easy for me to move from here to there like that, and also the combo of vintage 30 speakers with the stock 1936 speakers will be nice so ive heard. what do ya reckon about that setup for angus tone?

              Posted at 03:40h, 26 December

The issue with two 1936 (2×12) cabs won’t necessarily be the speakers or sound you get from them, it’s matching the ohm load for connecting to the YJM properly. I’m not saying it isn’t possible, but something to keep in mind before purchasing.

You may as well find a 1960A or B 4×12, any speakers are fine. Then start the search for G12-65s… Finding a cab already loaded with them will be very difficult, so piecing together may yield better results.

That guitar with that pickup, into that amp, through a TSR will have you as close as we’ve ever been… speakers and cab are just another piece to the Fil/Angus puzzle!

I’m a little confused what you mean in regards to the ohm load for the YJM100 ?? I see that the rear inputs are 8ohm 150 watts, and then there is the 2 x 16 olm inputs in stereo at 75watts each side. yeah maybe strange i guess, thinking thinking! more input would be much appreciated on that one.

The YJM won’t be an issue, just make sure you hook up the cabinets properly. Testing the ohm load with a load meter to ensure proper resistance would be a good idea! Output transformers aren’t cheap.
