Sad. It’s very sad. The band name is “immortal” (they tell me) but to me, these guys are already… dead (laughs, hard).
Definitely worth a read. Talks about the “philosophy” (again) of AC/DC but to me, more profoundly, of the whole essence of rock and roll.

Rock and roll ain’t noise pollution and AC/DC is definitely back. Don’t count these guys out just yet because their latest album Stiff Upper Lip, is in fact an indication that this Aussie quintet still knows not only how to write good rock music, but again have applied their signature expertise as only they know how.
Who is Roman Rist? If you don’t know, I’ll tell you. Roman Rist is an US luthier that has seen it all for a long time. He’s been involved in tons of projects over the years relating to “wood”, good wood, vintage wood, old growth wood, 1959 Les Paul guitars, “Max” Guitars and a lot more.
I dare call him a “friend” although we have never met in person. But he’s one of those folks who you just feel attracted to because of his simple ways, wisdom, gray hair, modesty and hard work.
On the My Les Paul Forum – while browsing my daily dose – I came to this post of his, where he was humbly mentioning his view on “Mojo” (i.e., not properly defined as “the feeling a guitar has”): (more…)
Just a little service post: I am diligently filling in all of the “tags” (keywords). You will find the tags on the “tag cloud” (an automatically compiled list of keywords used on solodallas.com).
You will see how it makes your searches easier. The Tag Cloud will appear on your left column while browsing contents. It’s one of the ways to make quick but powerful searches. An example of this is the “Back in Black Tone Project”, with a click many previous posts of the past days relating to our recent discoveries of Back in Black tone are summarized.
I’m not finished yet, I still have a lot of it to fill in . Another example is being able to search for songs, prompting you with both performances and tutorials related to a given song, which guitar was used and which amplifier, lots of info. This is also in answer to a rightfully posed requirement yesterday of “ease of search” on solodallas.com (besides the search field on the right column).
