06 Nov AC/DC’s “Riff Raff” (Live Version) Part 1& 2 Older Video Tutorial

Part One (Rhythm parts)

Part Two (Solos)

These videos were shot in my former recording studio, Studio58a, at different dates.

Guitar used on the first video (Part One) was my 1962 Gibson SG Custom and guitar played on the second video (Part Two) was my 1970 Gibson SG Standard, both played on a reissue Marshall head and cabinet, being a 1987XL Modified by David Bray and a 1960B cabinet with reissue (at the time) G12Ms.

Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Great job on the studio version of riff raff also. Any chance you could do a lesson on that solo?

Can you please do a tutorial on The Razor’s Edge. I have never seen anyone tab or do a tutorial of the verse riff correctly and I was wondering if you could.

    Hello SoloDallas.

You know I have a question about the Whole Lotta Rosie live solo. Usually with live solos Angus tends to play a variation on the studio version from which it derives. Examples, Highway to Hell, Back in Black and Sin City bear similarity to their studio counterparts without being identical This is the case with most. But with the Live Rosie solo from ‘If You Want Blood’ it is completely unique and was only as far as I’m aware performed once.
Even the regular solo that Angus plays for Rosie is reasonably consistent and is quite similar to the studio version on ‘Let There be Rock.’ I’ve often wondered why this is. It is a complete one off. Was it completely spontaneous as it’s such a killer solo? I guess we’ll never know. It would be interesting to find out if there’s live footage of it as it may have been recorded at the Apollo Glasgow where it seems much of the album was recorded. Do you have any insight into this?

Great… could it be possible to hear it in the italian language version? I know you can if you want. Please.
Actually I’m studying the all tracks of the If you want blood live and your tutorials are helping me a lot but, they could help me better on the italian version.
Have nice holidays and keep on rockin’.

This was the first time I became aware of your YouTube channel, a random search led me to this accidently about 3? years ago. I couldn’t believe my luck. Loved this album for 30 years and was then able to play songs from it. It’s still my favourite (I.Y.W.B) of any album ever.

I think in every video of this I have ever seen, you play your white SG. Is there any reason behind that, or were they all just shot on the same day or something?
The leather jacket is pretty badass.

Just had to throw that out there.
