Why make a super long name when one can keep it simple and people might remember the name easier when it’s not to long or complicated and make more people be able to buy it? That’s just what i think about it, to keep it simple and short and include Schaffer as a tribute to him 🙂
I often see odd and complicated names for pedals and the like that sometimes are long and most of the time i dont remember the name, i think it’s logical to better remember the name of a product if it has a short but simple name as that should be easier compared to a product with a long and complicated name that just doesn’t ”stuck” on the mind.
Anyone agrees? 🙂

duno about Vega being in there cus there has been no involment from them in the production of it 🙂

“Schaffer-SoloDallas Vega”
means to me:
“Inventor-Maker Model name”
We will see what Fil&Franz come up with…

I suppose when you are thinking up the company name, you put some thought into it and therefore I think they knew what Vega means, but your point of view can be correct, too.
We should ask them 🙂

A bit similar to SVDS, but the inventor is there, SoloDallas community is there and Vega is simply the bright star = something special as this device is for sure… and after all, everybody associate name Schaffer with Vega when it comes to SVDS, so why change already well-known name?

no measurements on EMI yet, but i don’t expect any troubles. every in/output is filtered (even the mains) and the pcb layer stack-up acts as a shielding layer for incoming/outgoing signals.

It’s just that we would like to honour Mr. Schaffer rather than the Vega corporation.
Hm…would be cool if we could throw in Fil too, somehow. Any ideas, folks? We’re scratching our head too, but without a decent result yet.
