Just here to learn and try to give something back. :)
2006 SG Standard (Heavily Modified)
1978 Marshall 2203 100w Head. (un-molested)
Self Built 2x12 cab w/ G12-65's
I really like the color contrast in the video too.
(BTW, out of curiosity, did youtube flag your content as a copyright match automatically after you uploaded? The two last covers I uploaded were flagged, but not taken down – the message says it’s available worldwide but ads may show up).
I’m trying out Cyberlinks Power Director for video editing. (as you can see by the stupid note in the first frames 😉 )
I think I’m going to buy the software. There’s a lot of versatility in it.
I did get copyright flags on my last 2. YSMANL is not playable in Germany & Rescue me only said it “matched content” but gave no restrictions. For some reason nothing is said on this one. 😉
Yeah, in my case, “if you want blood” is not playable in Germany, “Highway to Hell” has no restrictions. Go figure; well, at least they seem to be handling these cases better now instead of just closing the account… Cheers! Renato
Thats interesting. Could it be that they just have a pattern of song names in a database? Would be interesting what happens if you upload the same flagged song with a random file name like “dsafdae3” and without any hints for them what song it is.
I think you’re right at least to a point. 🙂
Like I said no flag what so ever on this one. The only thing I did different is: In Audacity when I exported the recording to MP3 I deleted all of the song info (artist, record co., ect) off of the imported audio track.
Don’t know if that’s what made the difference but I’ll try it again on the next one. 😉
Yeah, the rhythm tone is pretty good. For the lead, maybe a boost and maybe more mids and treble would help, I think.
And your playing is great and experienced. Love it!
No problem for the 2 empty posts, will delete them.
My boost was cranked for this. Also was using Comp. Spent an hour playing with settings for the leads. More treble and or mids made the tone even more shrill. 😉 That’s why I’m at a loss.
My only conclusions is it could be my inability to switch signal chain or my tube brand/type. ?????
Always love your input. 🙂
I doubt that changing the tubes would make a big difference.
I have a similar problem here:
For me here, I think that my booster/compressor combination here is not powerful enough and/or in the wrong frequency range. There’s still something missing in the tone, it’s not enough “right in your face”, not ballsy and not nasal enough.
So I’m looking around again for other boost pedals, the Marshall JH1 Jackhammer and the Marshall BB2 Bluesbreaker pedals look interesting.
Maybe someone here has experiences?

Posted at 20:18h, 01 AprilI imagine they actually process the audio stream – like the Shazam “music discovery” app for mobile devices.

Posted at 20:22h, 01 AprilOk, that would be the more intelligent solution, so one have to play very bad to avoid being flagged 🙂

Posted at 17:47h, 01 AprilDammit, this is the only reason I’m sad. I can work since my right hand is ok … I can do things but I cannot grab the guitars neck 🙁

Posted at 05:01h, 01 AprilHey Guys,
I think I have the Rythem tone pretty good on this one.
The leads have something to be desired though. 😉
For some reason I can’t get the leads into that “Biting” sound/tone. 🙁
Maybe I need to do some tube switching experiments????
Any suggestions would be great!!!
